The annual project is organized by the Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven, and proceeds go back to the community.

The Castanea Township Recreation Committee announces the Second Annual Halloween Parade scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m., beginning on Brown Street and ending at the fire station on McElhattan Avenue. The committee seeks non-profit groups, decorated cars and machinery, emergency vehicles (police, fire, EMT), dance troupes, marching bands, Scouts, costumed groups, families, friends and children to participate in the parade. Pre-registration is requested in order to plan the parade and prizes. RSVP to Rick Schulze, chair, Castanea Township Recreation Committee at fschulze@comcast.net.

Bellefonte Gamblers Anonymous is meeting again on Sundays at 7:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 216 N. McAllister St., Bellefonte.
